The ICAO Facilitation Regional Forum, hosted by the Government of Cameroon, will address various areas of Annex 9 — Facilitation to the Convention on International Civil Aviation and the wider ICAO Facilitation programme of particular interest to diverse stakeholders on the African continent and in the wider region. The event is intended to continue the awareness raising and implementation support activities of the ICAO Year of Facilitation 2024 and mark the recent 75th Anniversary of Annex 9. With the theme, Seamless Skies: Efficient Facilitation for a Connected World, this Forum will focus in particular on how to enhance the travel experience for all travellers, with examination of aspects across the full journey. The importance of effective implementation of several Annex 9 provisions will be emphasized in this regard, while oppotunities arising from rapid technological evolution will be considered.
This event will be of benefit to aviation authorities as well as several entities operating in related fields, such as border control and law enforcement authorities as well as public health authorities, airline and airport operators from all ICAO Member States.
